Cinco de Mayo

According to Wikipedia Cinco de Mayo is primarily a regional and not an obligatory federal holiday in Mexico. It commemorates an initial victory of Mexican forces led by General Ignacio Ignacio Zaragoza SeguĂn over French forces in the Battle of Puebla on May 5. The date is observed in the United States and other locations around the world as a celebration of Mexican heritage and pride.

I was wondering what is it before. All I know is that it is one of Mexican's holiday. The past Cinco de Mayo we usually go out and dine at the Mexican restaurant that we love to go in GA. So this year I wish hubby is here so we can go out and dine in at a Mexican resto here to celebrate and feel the holiday. Our good friend told me the best Mexican restaurant they always go to. I have to ask hubby when he gets back to have a taste of the food of that restaurant.

Happy Cinco de Mayo everyone!
