Science Instruments as Gifts

When I was in high school and college we always have experiments in our science laboratory. More so when I was in college as my major is Biology/Zoology. We always use different science instruments like microscope, ph meters, telescopes and other science tools.

Because we don't have enough instruments, we have to share. One microscope to 5 - 10 students, and we have to take each turn. It didn't occur to me then that this can be given as gifts to your kids who are now in high school. They can have their own instruments at home for study as well.

I've seen some parents that does this. I agree as this can really help our kids in their studies. It also give them the benefit of liking more science and become more interested in discovering things. As the holidays is here, this will surely a nice addition to gifting ideas to school kids.

Boy isn't that true! We share instruments back in Pinas at school because the school does not have enough funds to buy instruments that students can use so we had to share. I remembered sa Science class namo sa una porya gaba hahahaha.. kadaghan sa students nya ang mga gamit kay pila lang kabuok lima or usahay usa lang gani so ang teacher ra mo gamit tan-aw lang mi ug unsaon paggamit. Dili jud ta ka hands on. Anyway, that would be neat for someone who loves or are into Science. :)

wow 1 microscope for 5-10 students? that is very hard to get something done. taking turns is so time consuming. now a days, is different.students are very lucky now because they can own an instrument. and do their research at home

This post reminded me of my high school and college days laboratory moments! Gosh! so true that we have to share stuff! Those test tube, i was so afraid i'd break them because I can;t afford to pay them :P.

It's a good thing that nowadays, science lab stuff are not that expensive that we can afford them for our kid's study molding them into someone who will love science so much!
