Surprise Baby Shower for a Friend

On Friday we had a surprise baby shower for a friend. It was a short-noticed baby shower hosted by another friend, planned like a day and half or two. We had it in the house of the friend who planned it. Good thing we are all ready-set-go moms that we can function well more under pressure.

So, the party was potluck. We bring whatever we can bring. The hostess was so crafty that she was able to come up with decors that only cost her 10 bucks. Almost all materials used were found in their house. I think if we can just be creative enough, decorating a party should not be that costly. Here are few pictures, taken by a friend, of the food table setting we had that day.
We had a French theme as the name of the baby accordingly will be "Paris."
The French country table setting utilizing a white umbrella inverted as a chandelier and the tissue paper from previous gifts recycled into a paper ball hanging decor.
The cardeaux = presents/gifts were placed in an old luggage right next to the table.

That was nice of you and your friends to plan a surprise baby shower for a friend. The theme is very chic too. When you think about Paris, it’s something fashion and sassy! She sure is, having a baby girl!

A surprised party is really fun and exciting. I've had that experienced too. I was totally surprised and my husband was good at hiding it from me. I only knew when they show me the cake with my name on it. :D

Where there is a will there is a way--that turned out beautifully even though there were only a couple of days to plan it!
